OK,I figure my altnator is draining my battery.When the car is not running the bat. will go dead in a short time. If I disconect the altnator and leave the bat.cables hooked up everything is normal.NOW a guy gave me an alt. in part of a trade deal about a month ago and just got a chance to try it.The bolt patterns line up but the top t-40 hole dosn't have threads.looks like they were drilled out.And the stud that comes out the back is a treaded bolt with a nut on it,instead of a flat stud with a treaded hole to recieve a small bolt.I could just put a bolt with nut and washers in the top hole.and the stud dont look like it should have a problem with the tapet covers.One issue there,my insulation cap suffered mouse damage from previous owner.how hard are they to get?Think this alt should work?Other than that it looks the same.Shouldn't fry out my system should it?
