Horn woes.

I never used to honk my horn. It seems like since I have no horn button, I need it more often than ever. It's unsafe not to have one.

I'd like to use the trunk release switch to trigger the horn. I need to know what wires in the column are for the horn. I can put a different momentary contact switch with a horn button, I just want a button away from the wheel.

Re: Horn woes.

There's a Horn Relay in the convenience center (fuse box) - should be able to connect wiring in there for a seperate button. Here's the wiring diag: http://www.austinthirdgen.org/mkport...1992_horns.jpg

Here's the rest of the wiring diags for just about any 3rd gen: http://www.austinthirdgen.org/index.php?pid=19

Thank you! That's a fantastic resource I hadn't heard of. I appreciate it.

Just curious. May I ask why (since the wheel would seem to be the most effective position)?

The horn button I have [single button on this wheel] will take me some time to get to a workable condition. I need a temporary supplemental button while I investigate, my thirdgen is my daily/my only driver anymore.
