Re: what color is the reverse gear wire?
I'm no GPS expert, I don't even own one (45 years old and Ive never been lost yet), but ...
Isn't the whole point of the GPS unit to
1) know where you are
2) know where you're going
3) know what direction you're travelling
4) know what speed you are travelling
All based on receiving continuously updated sattelite signals on present position and relating that to past position?
I mean, logic dictates that if I have to tell it where I am, where I'm going, what speed I'm travelling, and in what direction, then I don't really need it do I, since I already know everything it's supposed to be telling me?
I'm just asking here - not trying to be a jerk really - just seems silly to to me that I'm about to ask a machine for the answers to questions that I already know the answers to!
Reverse? Huh? What difference does it make in my attempt to get to Point B whether I'm travelling nose first to get there or rear first to get there? Besides probably being illegal, and a bit slower, and maybe the neck cramp factor - I could in theory drive in reverse over the river and through the woods to Grandmother's house, couldn't I?

Re: what color is the reverse gear wire?
trust me its annoying i know, but its just some fancy model i bought with other nice features and it says in the manual for it to be completely accurate it needs to know if your in reverse so the car icon is pointing in the right direction or something. and i also gota connect to my speed/mph signal which is annoying but whatever.
