rear defroster only slightly works

Transmission: auto
rear defroster only slightly works

my rear defroster started acting wierd today i started up my car turned it on and when i came back to get in the window was still frozen only a small sliver was melted on the top drivers side on two of the heat elment lines that go across the window ibut i was like this ------() snow that circle is that box thing at the top of the glass what could cause this a loose connection?

There's a wire on each side that connects to the hatch struts - either of them popped of? I think they are the grounds for the circuit.

i check i have four connection on the window two at the top of th struts and two at the bottom i wd 40 all them and yesterday i put it on when the window was fog and i saw it clear up but then this moring only two lines on the top left were clear the rest was still foggy mabye i jus need to do a hardcore cleaning to all the connections
