what is this connector??? unheard of
86 firebird lg4 carbureted
It has 2 wires, one is green, the other is brown with a black stripe.
It is sitting next to the o2 sensor plug and the TPS plug. I've been looking at the diagram all day and I swear it is not there. ( I've gotten decent at reading them).

Re: what is this connector for?
ones that are brown wire and green wire are coolant relay, a/c control head, and something like a headlight dimmer switch, and key ignition switch, bizarre connector...

Re: what is this connector for?
I was also looking at the Dorman Conduct-tite catalog online:
http://www.dormanproducts.com/flipbo...nductTite.html
If you go to page 34/35, there are alot of two-wire connectors - a few look like that one...
1) #85100 - Coolant Tempurature Sensor
2) #85134 - Mixture Control Solenoid (this kinda makes sense - would connect to carb maybe on the driver side)
Maybe that helps - don't know.
BTW - all those connectors, along with any other Dorman/Motormite/Conduct-tite parts can be ordered at AutoZone - just refer to those pages, get the part number, and have them order for you. Here's the Dorman main page - a great resource: http://www.dormanproducts.com/dispst..._catalogs.html

Re: what is this connector for?
already got those 2 labeled
. I guess I'll just trace it back and see where it leads to.
And thanks for those links!! I got a few plugs that need replaced because of age, cracked plastic. You saved me a lot of time on that!

Re: what is this connector for?
UPON FURTHER INSPECTION..
I dug back the wires some more and it's actually a light blue wire with a tan (possibly white) wire with a black stripe. Still lost though. Oh well I'm going to go look again. I'm gonna try grabbing the connection and moving it around as much as far as it will go and see If I can find the connection.
maybe it's a/c..
EDIT: okay it runs through the passenger fender with the rest of the wires...? I don't know I can't take this stupid thing any longer its not on any diagrams I have been looking at, I'm just going to duct tape it to the side and put the engine in until I see something for it. stupid plug.
