I am cleaning up the engine bay, going to shave all the holes and tuck all the wiring. in my 83 camaro
my question is what wires are needed in the harness that comes in from the passenger side finder? i am not running the computer controlled stuff anymore, so i got rid of the ecu and all the mis stuff. my harness is pretty much all down to the basics,
besides a long dual prong clip, that goes from the passenger side harness to the drivers side harness, wires are puprle with a black stripe and just black, does it need this?
then on the drivers sider harness, its down to everything that is needed to run the car. only thing i really removed was the old map,
question on this is, the little relay box that is mounted buy the map, on the bracket is it needed to?

Most everything from pass side should be able to go. The relay, I have no idea - there is a relay for fuel pump (if you had an electric one), fan(s) (again, only if you had electric), and the blower motor for the heater. Can't think of any other basic relays in the engine bay. Trace the wiring on that relay and see where it leads, or hold it to feel the 'click' and have someone turn on car, turn on/off heater blower, etc. until you find what it's doing (if anything at this point).
I do recommend leaving the wiring in tact, and tucking unused wires away. It's great to have prerun wires in/out of cabin, I use mine for alot of things.

yea i am chasing it back to the ecm to putt it all.. my car has a engine fire like 10years ago, my father converted it to a carb and left most of the old clips and got rid of the computer controled stuff.
and it did have the electric fan a while ago. but it was all removed and ran with a painless. all i want in there is the harness with the alt wiring, starter, water temp and distributer and oil psi.
