Getting through the firewall

Alright, i'm wiring a button into my car. I need to get 2 wires into the cab from the engine compartment. Took some panels off from under the dash to get a better view, and I cannot find where to snake these wires through. If possible, is there any place to get wires through without drilling a new hole? This should be a quick wiring process and I don't want to have to go out of the way for it. Any tips, and tricks? Thanks a lot! It's a 1991 rs if that helps?

Depends on which side. You can snake them through the passangerside were the ecm wiring harness comes through, but it might be a tad difficult to run them down to the hole.

There's plenty of area close to the ECM wiring on the pass side to drill a new hole - just make sure you use grommets or something (this is where I ran my amp wire).

There's also a hole somewhere where the antenna wire runs through, and where the wiring for a power antenna would be (if you had one), but I don't know exactly where that is - maybe trace the antenna wire and see where it runs through.

There should be a factory cut hole right behind the brake pedal. At least there is on my car.As already mentioned make sure you use a grommet.
get down low by the floor board and look back to the firewall.it should be there. You should be able to access it from the engine bay underneath the brake booster.

Re: Getting through the firewall

There are a few holes you can use....there is a grommet hole to the right of the brake booster, that is for the fog light harness, there is a grommet hole under the brake booster, that is for the cruise control harness, of which you should be able to get a rubber plug to fill the hole up with the wire running through the rubber grommet. Then there is the antenna grommet is usable on the passenger side under the fender, it has room for a few smaller wires, or a small amp wire, nothing bigger than 8 gauge amp wire though.
