Alternator charging right?

Hey guys, just wanted to know if my alternator is charging right? with loads of its reading above 13 on the gauge. Now when i have my head lights on the needle drops to 13 and somtimes moves up just a bit..

Sounds like something is off. With the engine running you should be measuring 14-15 volts at the battery post on the back of the alternator.

That's what I thought...cuz now when I turn it on, it shuts of and the voltage gauge doesn't jump up to 14 like before. I did notice on the alternator electrical plug one of the wires is showing.
