multiple engine wires from passenger side

I am unsure where all of these wires go. I am guessing the car was carbed or something. I found these wires all bunched up and taped off. Is there a way to unplug the entire set of wires or should i just figure out where they go and hack away from another car? thanks

Re: multiple engine wires from passenger side

there is only one main harness on the passenger side, and its everything that's related to the engine computer. you could try to depin them, but the bulkhead is potted (epoxy filled), so its not an easy chore without possibly doing damage to other wiring

Thanks. So i pulled the harness from both cars now what would be the difference in automatic and manual? would it be just the transmission wires?

Re: multiple engine wires from passenger side

Autos have the brake switch wire from the C100
Manuals have the back-up light connector from the C100 and no brake wire

Did your LO3 actually run with all those wires chopped?

Re: multiple engine wires from passenger side

The 3 wire plug is for converter lock-up. The 2 wire is the reverse light switch plug (vss is a purple and yellow wire).
Reverse light switch is on the auto shifter along with the park-neutral switch.

OK there are two plugs for auto and two plugs for manual. The first pic is auto. A total of 5 wires three on one plug two on the other. The three wire plug has a wire I need to delete or ground off or something which wire (color) do I do this to and what needs to be done to it.

First pic is auto
