auto to 5spd wiring question
92 rs camaro 305 tbi. im going from auto to a 5spd and some questions. first does this harness have the clutch ignation lock switch plug? you now where you have to hold the clutch in to start (so i can get raid of that stupid lock cable that runs all over in the way) and do i have to keep the auto neutral safety switch in? and finally theres one thing not plugged in by the fuse box, has 4 wires going to it. has a purple, a green, maybe a blue...ill get a pic.

Re: auto to 5spd wiring question
Yes, your harness has the clutch start switch connector. It's probably taped up and out of the way in the harness, will have either a green or yellow and a purple wire in it. The neutral safety switch gets deleted, but you will need to find a way to get the 2 reverse light wires under the car for the switch on the side of the trans. I put a grommet in the hole where my shifter cable ran through and ran the reverse light wires down through that (a blue and a green, IIRC).
And that thing by the fuse box may either be a daytime running light connector or someone bypassed the starter enable relay...
