1990 Firebird third brake light doesn't work!

Any advice?
I have cleaned the hatch contacts, checked the bulbs and the third brake light in the spoiler still doesn't work.

Which fuse do they run off?

My mirror lights dont work either, but my dome light, cigarette, power hatch release and everything else does.

It has not worked since I have owned the car.
Where is the connector you are talking about?

remove the plastic cover it should be attached to the contacts in order to power it when you hit the brakes i beleive its a pigtail w/ 2 or 3 wires, should be around all your hatch motor wires but should be attached to the contacts. my interiors gutted i removed the hatch motor and wires snapped a couple pics for you, the wires im holding is where your wires should be connected. if they are connected it could be something else. the contacts may be clean but if theyre not making a good contact they might not light up

Have you solved your brake light problem yet?
Its most likely your contacts on your hatch not lining up with the contacts on the car...these third gens are bad for there rear hatch alignment
To check where they are making contact put a bit of grease on the hatch contacts and close the hatch. Reopen to see where they made contact. Hope this helps!
