Adjusting my speedo?

My speedo is about 10mph fast when under 70 and then goes to about 20mph fast over 70.

What do I need to do to adjust it?

It's a T5 transmission on a stock v6 rearend (which I think is 3.08 gearing but am not positive)

Any help is appreciated ! Thanks

Re: Adjusting my speedo?

Don't think there's any adjustment to it, other than swapping the speedo gears in the tranny.

Better watch that "over 70" - too much of that and you won't have a license anyway

If the rear is from V6, it's probably a 3.42 (you should probably double-check before you proceed). The following link will provide the gears you need to make the speedo read correctly:

Thought you could change out some gears into actual speedo to make the adjustment...

Haha well, around here speed limits on highways are 75, so it's not unusual to cruise at 80mph whith not a glance from a cop.

Ok, I was told it might be a 3.08 but wasn't sure. I plan to pull the diff and check before getting my speedo fixed.

I appreciate the link James!

It's been squeling lately to, that just a matter of putting a drop of oil on the gears in the speedo?
