Windshield Wiper Problem??
I just picked up my 1986 IROC-Z28 Camaro and I'm very excited but it needs a little tlc. I have a lot of pics posted in my first post under new member introduction.
One thing wrong with it is the windshield wipers. It works on the low setting but it does not work on high. When I flip it to the high setting the wipers freeze and don't move. And then my dad told me they wont shut off at all (I'm away at college right now and he's messing with it a little). I feel like it just needs a new wiper motor but I'm not sure.
Any suggestions??

Re: Windshield Wiper Problem??
I've looked around and I cant seem to find a motor "cover"
I'm sorry if I seem a little ignorant on the subject. I'm 19 and I just picked up the car yesterday and I'm already back at school so I cant really see what I'm looking at or mess around with it. My dad thinks it has to do with the switch itself or wiring components because the wipers wouldn't turn off and he flipped the turn signal and they did. He's going to look at it this week and see if he can fix it

Re: Windshield Wiper Problem??
probly gona need to look at wires in the sterring colum
that might require removal of sterring wheel
make sure to search for colum threads as there is a few things needing attention in there
a lose or wobly sterring wheel is a common issue... car starting issues too.
that way you can bring the colum up to 100%
and not need to remove the sterring wheel for a long while.
you might want to look at this

I HATE SENDING YOU OFF SITE...
good luck
might be something easy tho inspect any non-factory wiring (stereos,alarms...) under your dash
