Wiring the reverse switch (T5)
Hi all,
Out of my T5 I have the reverse switch with 2 wires that both have cut ends (PO massacred the engine wiring in the car).
The car has no computer and I have nearly everything cleaned and sorted. Where do these wires need to go to get the reverse lights working?
For what it's worth, everything on the tail lights work, except for those lights of course.
Thanks,
Jake

Re: Wiring the reverse switch (T5)
There should be a pigtail hanging down that's a breakout from the main engine harness, should break out about under the wiper motor; has the blue and green wires you're looking for.
I hate havint to clean up behind people who like to use dykes too much. I think most people shouldn't even be allowed to own a pair.

Hm... I don't have any wires coming out of the bulkhead connector that are unaccounted for. Do both of the switch wires (dark blue and green) from the transmission need to go into the connector?
I can pin them back in if necessary, or is there an easier way, considering that there's no immediate connections for them.
And yes I agree, dikes are an old car's worst enemy lol.

I have the same issue as you I have a T5 interior harness and a 85 auto engine harness. Where would I go to repin the reverse litghts to work as I need to to this to my T56. also I got another question. Are the stop light switches different in a t5 harness compared to a auto??
