Removing the Governor??

does anybody know how to take off the governor on a TBI 305 engine? b/c i am considering to take it off and put a chip in to get all the power i can get, then add more mods later.

1) There's no "governer" to speak of - there is a speed limiter programmed into the ECM which won't allow over like 125 mph. You'll never see 125mph even in a 1/4 mile track, and even if you could get a 305TBI car up to 125 mph on the open road, you'll just lose your license doing it.

2) Unless your programming your own custom chips, or having someone program a custom chip for you, the off-the-shelf chips are a waste of time and money.
