Dash Printed Circuit
Dash Printed Circuit
Since I've gotten my car the three light bulbs around my fuel gauge have not worked. On the occasional full moon they would kick it, but overall, may as well have not been there. I replaced the bulbs. Nothing, ok, it's the printed circuit. I didn't want to mess with it and pushed it off.
Well, a few days ago my right blinker stops coming on, change the bulb, nothing. So I went ahead and ordered a new one off of Camaro central and it arrived today. I got it hooked up, tried to make sure that everything was connected well, and tried it out. Everything lights up except for three of the lights along the bottom (one on either side of the speedo and one beneath the tach) and a couple of the idiot lights aren't working (not a big deal, but I feel like when something is there it should work).
My question is, is there a trick to working with a printed circuit? I tried to make sure everything was making a good connection. All the bulbs seemed to plug in firmly, although some of them that do work I had to push from the opposite side gently for them to pop on. No amount of poking and prodding could get any of these bottom lights to light up. I know there must be a simple way but so far working with this printed circuit is driving me nuts. Any pointers would be appreciated.

Re: Dash Printed Circuit
Nothing? I was really hoping there was some sort of trick or something to making sure the printed circuit was properly in place or prepped. All of the lights that don't work are also in the black sockets, although they all worked fine with the last printed circuit, so I don't know if that is related or if it's just a coincidence. Any pointers would be appreciated.

a pincil eraser works fine if you work carefully ,you see sometimes the copper just needs cleaning ,on the printed circuit that is.also a finger nail file will clean the contacts on the bulb holders.work slowly and maybe use a lil WD-40
