Hypertech chip help!!!!!

I bought a used hypertech chip, put in in my car & it idles rough & bogs out when i drive it. Pulled & put it in my other car & same problem, am i missing something? Does anything connect to the prongs next to the chip? Any help would be appreciated, it disnt xome with instructions.

your not supposed to plug your stock chip into it also? Im not quite sure. MY tbi hypertech chip is a replacement. I know someone runnign the jet chip and he plugs his stock chip into it then the jet chip into the ecm

I didnt it was just the hypertech chip, i tried it in both cars & same results.

TBI Chips are completely different from TPI Chips.

Yes you plug your stock prom into the Hypertech Chip on the TPI cars.

Karl,

here is a link on how to install a G1 adapter. It's the same process as installing the Hypertech chip. Check to Make sure you didn't bend any of the pins in your PCM when you installed the chip.
