electrical problem

i was replacing my starter and it had slipped my mind to unhook the battery. but i sparked the soleniod and the frame and now i have no buzz when i turn the key no lights outside or insida at all. car wont start but starter will spin i believ it has power because i have a push button start on the car. what do i do. please help

it sounds like you may have blown one or more of the fusible links, as they're right at the starter and lead to the interior fuse box. i would start by checking those to see if they popped and need to be replaced. also check all of your interior fuses, probably lost a few of those too

well my car has a push button in it and the starter is the only thing i can get power out of

where are these at? im new to the whole electrical deal and ive had this car for about a week. any insight to the most problematical one?

As indicated in a previous post, look near the starter.

But you need to know what you’re looking at.

Fusible links merely look like a piece of wire which was spliced in, sometimes encased in plastic.

They are usually
rust in color.

Using a voltmeter or test light
(the type for testing for voltage, not a continuity tester) probe the nearest junction point to determine which one(s) you will need to replace.
