Radio won't work after distributor change

Can anyone tell me why my radio won't work after a distributor change. Yet if I disconnect the battery and reconnect, it works. But when I shut the car off and restart it, it won't work again..........Thanks

Re: Radio won't work after distributor change

I'm not radio-savy, so bear with me...
That is odd to say the least!! Does it have speaker protection that kills the radio if it's too loud so the speakers don't blow? Maybe a ground or power wire is loose?
Just a stab in the dark, sorry!!
Maybe if you tell the brand, any power amps, speakers, someone with the same set up had the same problem..?..
Good luck

Stock sound system. I realize the distributor has nothing to do with the radio but I can't figure out why it will work after disconnecting the batterry and reconnecting it until I shut the car off, then when I restart, it won't work. I dunno.
