Is this the right tachometer wire? Picture
After getting a new cluster and getting my gauges to work, the Tach is still pegged and doesnt move.
I am wondering if it could be because this car was converted to a carb setup? you can see where its plugged into the distributor where it says "tach" but im not sure if its plugged into the correct wire in the loom.
If it is, what would be my next best trouble shooting step?
Thanks in advance

The stock tacho wire runs direct from dist to cluster so nothing should have changed with the conversion unless you cut the wire
Check continuity of the wire from tacho to cluster
Check continuity of the wire from tacho to cluster

I tried checking at the cluster for continuity, but had spotty results so I will try it again. I will also try the 12v light method and see what I get.
I appreciate the help!
