Electric Problem, Windows and Radiator fan stop working
Hey all, I've started having a weird issue with my 91 RS. When I start the car, everything is fine, but a few seconds later, my windows stop working. At first I thought it was just the windows, but I found out that when the windows stop, so does the radiator fan and A/C blower fan. The biggest issue here is the radiator fan of course - fortunately the weather has been getting cool here. If I shut the car off and turn it back on, everything works again for a few seconds then stops. If I turn it to the on position without cranking the car, everything works a bit longer it seems. I like to drive with my windows down, and usually when I arrive somewhere, I have to shut the car off, then turn it on battery to roll the windows up.
I talked with a friend of mine who's into electronics, and he said it sounded like it could be the ignition switch, or something related to it like a loose wire. It makes sense that maybe a circuit isn't getting the signal from the ignition to turn on, but it doesn't seem like the windows, A/C fan, and radiator fan would all turn off together. Also, my radiator fan is wired directly into the fuse box. I have no idea why - it was like that when I got it. Maybe there's something weird going on with my fuse box?
If anyone has any ideas, please share. I'm trying to avoid taking it to a mechanic and spending a bunch of money to diagnose and fix the issue. If I can find out what's causing it, I can most likely fix it on my own. Thanks!

EDIT:
Looks like my radiator fan is wired into the A/C fuse. I tried pulling the fan wire out of there, but the windows and A/C still shut off after starting the car. I also let the car sit there for a minute running on battery and the windows and a/c keep working. Right when I crank the car they stop.

If anyone is interested...
I figured out where the issue is. There is some kind of short in or near the ignition. If I slightly turn the key while the car is running, everything starts working fine. My friend had trouble with the VATS wiring in this same area, so I'm not too surprised about it. Time to start digging into my steering column...
