O2 sensor wiring; What did I do wrong?
So, I ran a wire from my O2 sensor weather pack connector to the cabin. Reconnected the O2 sensor, and wrapped that connection with electrical tape. Hooked that wire up to one probe of my multimeter, and grounded the voltmeter with the other probe to the body, where the rear seat used to be. But I'm getting zero voltage when the car is running. Any ideas on what I did wrong?

Check out this site w/ some very useful information on O2 sensors including how to bench test and installed on-car testing.

I have the volt meter an the 0-2000mv setting. I also tried it on the next higest and lowest setting and got nothing. From the link that zz3 z28 posted I took in two things. 1) My cheapie volt meter might be causing too much resistance. I realy have no idea how much there is in this thing, I bought it for a few bucks from harbour freight. 2) I may not have allowed the engine into closed loop. I let it warm up for a good 5 minutes trying to get the choke to open, and had no success. I figured the pull-off was bad, but now I guess it could have been my fault all along.
Thanks for the replies, what should I try next? Tomarow when I get back from work I've got a few small things to fiddle with like re-bending the choke link. Then I'll take the car on a little drive to see if I can't get this thing working right. I'll post what I get.

Cheap Meter Cheated Him
You will need a high impedance volt meter of 1MΩ/V or better to get an accurate reading from your O2 sensor.
