Installing race tach signal hookup

I have a 99 Z28 Camero that I am installing race tachometer. Need to know where to hook up tachometer signal wire. LS1 MOTOR

Your tach wire needs to go to the PRIMARY of the coil.

The tach wire goes from the PRIMARY non-key side of the coil, to the firewall connector, to the dash connector, to the tach.

It’s a WHITE wire.

Its a LS1, so it has 8 coils. Please dont splice into any of those wires

For 99-02, your tach output is R10 (WHT) from the PCM. Please keep in mind, LS1s have a 4cyl tach signal

If it were a 3rd gen or pretty much any other single coil engine, what NINA posted would be dead on. DIS systems are a bit different
