New Alternator?
Okay, I am looking to upgrade my alternator in my car to a 140 to 160 amp alternator. I am building a KITT replica and have lots of electronics in the car and want a powerfull enough alternator to charge both of my batteries. Now here is where my problem lies. I am looking on summit racing and some say one wire capable and some say that they are not one wire capable but both will fit my car, 89 firebird formula 350. I am wanting to go with the one wire capable alternators, so is my car set up for one wire alternators or would I have to do some rewiring for it to work. If someone could let me know or let me know what to look at on my car to compare that would be greatly appreciated.
