Left turn signal doesn't cancel
noticed on my '92 RS when turning left the turn signal does not cancel. Do I need the whole turn signal switch asm? is there a cancel cam? It's been so long since I've had to deal with these older ones I'm embarrassed to say I forgotten. I want to avoid taking the steering wheel off twice.

Re: Left turn signal doesn't cancel
if one side cancels but the other doesn't, then its pretty much a certainty the switch is bad.

Re: Left turn signal doesn't cancel
When that happened to me I had to pull the steering wheel and put a new turn signal canceling piece in there. Its plastic and if one sides ear breaks off that side will not cancel by itself.

2 parts
the cancel cam on the shaft
http://www.ebay.com/itm/GM-VARIOUS-M...item19c87a8140
that moves the mechanism
http://www.ebay.com/itm/COLUMN-TURN-...item230dc83da6
Either could be broken

Be sure and get a steering wheel puller while your at it, they don't cost very much and the only safe way to pull the wheel. Joined: Aug 1999
