All electrical components out at the same time
I drove my car to the gym today and it drove perfectly fine however the tach started acting up and ultimately stopped working on the way there. Then when I came out of the gym my battery was mysteriously dead. That has never happened before. My friend came and jumped me and on my way to drive to my friend's house my blinkers stopped working then the radio stopped working then my gauges stopped working and finally I wasn't able to push the gas pedal down at all or else my car would start sputtering and acceleration was not possible by the time I got to my friend's house. I parked the car and popped the hood and couldn't find anything out of the ordinary. The car is a 1989 Iroc converted to carb so this is why I am confused. How could an electrical issue affect drivability in a carbureted engine? And what kind of electrical issue would render my carbureted car completely undrivable within a matter of minutes? The car won't crank over at all right now even with jumper cables hooked up and the windows, lights, guages, and everything else don't work. My battery is fine. I'm completely stumped haha can someone help me out?

Check the battery cables for a good ground and more critically the + cable where it connects to the starter.
