OK it sounds like you’re trying to say the headlights illuminate dimly even when you unplug the harness.

If you bot the car like that the PO might have fooled around with the wiring.

The PO could have connected a power wire to the headlight circuit under the dash.

If you have DRL let us know because that changes the diagnosis.

i checked for grounds today and found the ground from the passenger head to the firewall and the negative battery to the passenger fender and did not find anymore after that im really confused and to the point of scraping this car again i turn the car on and the headlights have a dim glow all four and the passenger side front parklight also shows a dim glow and the passenger green arrow on the instrument cluster shows a glow with this happening my dual cooling fans barely move i unplugged the harness from the firewall and turn the ignition to on and it still does the same thing with the harness disconnected please i would greatly appreciate the help i dont want to scrape this car i would love to see it on the road again thank you

You need to remove the wiring the PO apparently rigged up.

Physically trace the wiring from the headlights to the headlight switch.

See if you can find any wiring that was spliced in.

The goal is to have the
tan wires and the green wires coming from the headlights, going to the dimmer switch in the steering column.

From the dimmer switch they go to the Pull For On headlight switch.
