What are these engine electronic parts?

So I need to do the electrics. Does any third gen genius know what these are for? Starting with this:

which is connected to this:

Next up, what are these for:

Which sit...

...here. The loom wraps across the back of the engine, down the side of the O/S wind and into the car.

Is this a Speedo drive?

What is this for?:

...and what does this connect to, which comes from the previous box?

...same with this?

Any help greatly appreciated! Bit hard to get tech assistance in the UK for niggles like these!

Re: What are these engine electronic parts?

Taking guesses in order of the pictures posted.

1) Appears to be the A/C clutch plug (two terminal, '87-older V-belt compressor) which, for some unknown reason, is tied to the either the plug for the knock sensor or, fan temp switch. I'd guess fan switch, someoneone removed the A/C, tied those together to try an make the fan work. THe green wire is A/C input to the the ECM, it wouldn't have worked anyways.

2) Same as 1

3) The flat box is your ESC (spark control module). Considering the mess, the others are either MAF relays, fuel pump or, fan (depends on wire colours on the plugs).

4) Wow, I though I had a wiring mess.

5) Looks like the plug for the A/C pressure switch (light blue and light green wires). Goes to the silver can that is on your blower box (if it's still even there)

6) Guessing from the heavy purple wire, high speed blower relay

7) Purple, +!2v to blower, black, ground for blower

8) Plug for the (probably non existent) resistor pack on the blower box, it's for the other three fan speeds that aren't the fastest (hi)

What do I win if I guessed any right ??

Deadbird! You legend! Thanks so much for taking the time to go through that. As far as I can see then: As my car is running a carb, there is no a/c because I live in Scotland, and (well guessed) my total lack of blower which I will go aftermarket with, the only thing I need to keep is the spark module. No spark at present so that explains a lot.

You win a cuddle but you need to come over here to get it!

Re: What are these engine electronic parts?

Its sadly not. Everyone needs a cuddle from time to time!!

So i am now running an HEI distributer and rochester carb. Assuming that the heater and aircon are removed, is it safe to say all the circuits up there are pretty much redundant now?
