Temp gauge reading high

I think my temp gauge is reading high

I found this thread while searching

I just wanted to double check. I set my pot to 55.1 ohms and the needle pointed straight right off the scale. I just wanted to double check these values are correct for a 1984 l69 trans am.

Also can it be fixed?

Looks like it might be reading 20ish degrees high. Anyone have any ideas on a fix?

Axle/Gears: EATON POSI 4.56

Gage Rage

You can put a resistor in series with your test resistors to see if that causes the gage to read accurately at both ranges.

If the above does not cure the problem replace the gage.
