Mechanical to Electronic Speedo
Mechanical to Electronic Speedo
Hey guys, I've got a question.
I have a mechanical transmission, and I drpped it into a 1986 Trans-Am.
Problem is that the speedometer is electronic. Now, I have tried to put in a pulse generatorm but, unfortunately, the calibration isnt correct, I'm showing much greater speeds than what I am actually doing.
Anyone know where I can get the proper pulse generator for this?
Thanks all.
Chris

Re: Mechanical to Electronic Speedo
you need to change the gears that drive the VSS in order to calibrate it correctly.

Certain gear combos suit certain diff/ tire setups
