battery not charging
I had the battery and Alternator tested and they said they where fine. I am thinking about replacing the Alternator anyway. What size should I get.
I have an msd 6al, blaster 2 coil, electric water pump, dual electric cooling fans out of a newer 3rd gen, wide band o2, 4 channel data logger, scarcely used fog lamps, may get a electric fuel pump at some time, no radio, and no hvac system.
Would a powermaster 80 amp Alternator be big enough.

Re: battery not charging
Lots of short trips? At low rpms, an alternator is barely putting out enough to run much less recharge so after several short trips, the draw of starting a car plus the pull of the electrical components can weaken a battery over several trips.

Re: battery not charging
80 amps is plenty for the electrical accesories you listed
~50a would probably do the job. Sounds like there is
something wrong with your alternator or wiring...
