Re: Problems With Digital Dash

If it's blank, it's not getting power. That's good news. It's on the CTSY fuse that also operates your interior lights and door locks. If your odometer reads 888888, I don't think it can be fixed.

Re: Problems With Digital Dash

I had a similiar problem on my DD. Check the bulbs as I did and replaced a few. I ended up swapping out the main module with another and it works fine now.

Re: Problems With Digital Dash

Did you ever get your digital dash fixed by just replacing the bulbs? Mine is doing the same thing. The odometer lights flicker and sometime read 88888 and other times they are sharp, crisp and without any problems.

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THIS COULD BE?

Re: Problems With Digital Dash

looks like these 2 peices are my problem right now on my digital dash i coud not get the odometer to work i wigled and wigled to see if it would work or maybe a bit loose but nothing and the system check seems to be fading on the lettering and some glitches here and there i figured out my lighting problem on the rpm, mph, water, oil, batt, gauges the lights are kinda losse if i wiggle them a bit they turn off and if i move them a bit like taking them off they turn on

Re: Problems With Digital Dash

GREAT!!! Please let me know when you install it and plug it in, if it shows the TRUE mileage of your car, or the mileage of the new dash. Just curious in case I have to replace mine. Thanks!

the mileage will be that of the car it came from, it is programed to keep adding mileage just like regular odometers

On another note I hate my digital dash, the color of it numbers and display is bad, the only thing I like about it is the shape, much better than the 4 round gauge set found on other birds , my plans are to remove the digital gauges and use aftermarket round gauges for speed and tach and such and where the odometer and system check is replace with a gps and the other gauges to monitor the engine. and yes I will be selling my digital crap but keeping the bezel , just not right away.

I had the same issue with my DD...you can swap modules that display the mileage reading to show your correct mileage ( original) I did this and it worked fine.

Re: Problems With Digital Dash

Well guys fixed my problem im so happy never had my dash work like new since ive owned the trans am my original odometer was fine just the system check was going bad the main problem causing my dash problem was the backing circuitry that holds the faceplates i used the all the dash pieces execpt the newer odometer and all worked for some reason my odometer reads lower miles its only 100k i know for a fact the body and odometer used to read close to 200k before going blank also some of the light bulbs are hard to find and not cheap i got lucky at carquest i will post all the pics from start to end of the problems and semi installed
