startup problem

startup problem

im having trouble getting my 327 started. i pulled the motor a few weeks ago and now have it back in. when i go to fire it up all it does is crank over and wont fire. it fired once but nothing besides that. ive checked pretty much all i can and im stumped. it does have a msd distributor(8365) and i cant figure it out! any suggestions would be great, thanks guys

im not too sure how too.... im pretty new at this stuff especially electrical stuff.... and i dont have a light tester either... ive been trying to get it going for a few days and nothing

Black 2 Basics

Remove a spark plug wire from one of the plugs.

Insert a spare plug into the end.

Hold the ground part of the plug on a grounded part of the car such as the inner fender, engine block, etc.

Have a friend crank the engine.

If there is spark you will see and hear it arc in the plug.
