Additional Turn Signal wiring help

What I am attempting to do is simply this, I am installing LED light strips in my side mirrors [behind the mirror glass] so that [when you turn the turn signals or hazards on] they will "back glow" behind the glass.

It's not a critical project, just an idea that I had came up with and would like to implement as an appealing addition.

My question is this, what would be the optimal way to wire the LED strips into the turn signal system?

I only want them to illuminate and flash when the turn signal or hazards are turned on [do not want a steady burn/oscillation like the fender or running light markers] and once the turn signal or hazards are turned off, the 'hidden' LED strips stop oscillating. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Connect each respective left and right strip to the respective left light blue wire and right
dark blue wire
located at the steering column connector.

It’s the larger of the connectors located on the right side of the steering column.

Run each wire thru the door grommet.
