Brake light problem

All lights work, but right side tail lights are dimmer then the left side!
When I step on brakes with lights ON, the right rear lights go out completely, the left side lights up normal....
When I step on brakes with lights OFF the Right side works but still dim, and I noticed on the left side the side marker light goes on with the brake lights only with head lights OFF.

They are stock factory tail lights all NEW bulbs!!

Things I tried : Checked fuses ,OK.. Checked/cleaned all grounds.. Looked for loose or broken wires..... Checked for power to tails/brakes with head lights OFF. Np.
Checked power to right side tail/brake with heads ON. Nothing!!

What now?????

Re: Brake light problem

Right side still dim. Checked tail lights with volt meter. Got 10.91volts to left and right sides
When turn on head lights right side goes out completely, but still has 10.91v coming from the bulb sockets. Bulbs all new checked them in left side to make sure they work!!!!

Also with head lights on Right blinker won't blink, but works fine without heads on????

I'm stumped

Light Blight

First check all rear bulbs, even tho new, to make sure they are the correct type, and installed correctly.

A common mistake is people installing 2 filament bulbs 180° rotated.

Some crazy symptoms have been reported doing that.

Then check the grounds for a clean connection to it’s grounding surface.

Happy Racing!

Re: Brake light problem

Checked all bulbs ,all the same left and right side. Cleaned all grounds I could find from battery to under hood and all I could find in the back. (Third brake light works now) But right side still dim. And still goes out completely when head lights or parking lights are turned on.

I tried taking off the covers and cleaning out the bulb sockets. No luck

Can't get sticker till they work!!

Re: Brake light problem

Turns out ground wire where it splits to go into the the sockets was bad. I cleaned and rewired the ground!!

All lights work perfect now...

Thanks for the help
