Voltage / idle problem?
I have an odd situation that I could use some help troubleshooting. I have done a forum search but I don't see anything that fits my issue.
When I start the car cold, I get good voltage reading on the gauge (about 2-3 needle-tip widths above the 13 mark). Idle under load (in D with a/c running) is strong and constant at just over 500rpm.
After driving about 45 minutes to an hour, I'm now getting voltage readings under 13 on the gauge ( about 2 needle-tip widths below the 13 mark), the idle under load drops below 500 on the gauge and has some surging.
Electronics are not my strong suit, so I'm looking for some opinions / help in diagnosing this. Could these issues be related or just coincidental?
