Driver Side Window

On my 1992 Camaro RS 5.0 TBI that I bought in April, the driver side window has never worked. Now that it's about 95 degrees out I figured I would try to remedy that. My passenger side works fine. i tried using the driver side switch on the passenger and vice versa, and then both windows did not work. So I'm assuming the switch and the motor for the driver side is bad. Will I need to replace the regulator as well or not?

Thanks,
Dan

Re: Driver Side Window

no you dont have to take the regulator off, theres a good thread about how to change a window motor the easy way, basically you drill 3 holes right over where the fixing screws hold the motor to the regulator, so you can get a screwdriver through to undo them and then once they are off the motor just comes off.

ive recently fitted new doors to mine and i fitted new motors, one door was totoally empty so i had to transfer the whole regulator assembly over and the rods, locks, etc etc.

i had a spare electrical connector for the window motors from the old door so i just cut the wires off that and used it with my jumper pack to test the window motors before i put everything back together
