What is this relay?
Since I swapped my computer system, I no longer need the external knock filter. On the same bracket is some type of relay, trying to figure out if I need this or if I can just leave the whole assembly off the car.

Here's a pic from my collection I found online years ago. Looks like ESC module and fuel pump relay.

Re: What is this relay?
What I see in the picture is "a relay", not specific to any function because it is disconnected.
If it is not connected and the car runs, you can leave it out.

Re: What is this relay?
As I pointed out before, the OP has a generic relay. That relay has NO FUNCTION since it is not connected to anything.
So any attempt to label it "fuel pump", "MAF burnoff" or whatever is illogical and pointless.
A relay that is not connected to anything is not performing any function and thus can be removed.
IF the relay was connected to some wires, those would help identify the purpose of the relay. Its location is no indicator of its purpose. Especially on 20 year old cars that have been likely tampered with numerous times.
I hope that clarifies it.
