Gauge Problems
Gauge Problems
Ok, i have an 89 IROC. Brought it down to Orlando from NC a short while back. It had been sitting for about 10 years, not started for about 5. sat behind my grandfathers house waiting for me to get it. So, just got it running yesterday, I dropped the tank replaced the tank, sending unit, and put in a new fuel pump. I also took off the thottle body, plenum, runners, fuel rails and replaced the injectors aswell as cleaned everything thing else up. was super excited seeing as ive been waiting literally my whole life to finally get this car down and be able to work on it. Im turning 22 and my parents have had the car since i was born. so you get the picture. anyways, i noticed my gauges moving around a little bit when trying to get it started (at first i had to keep reving it to keep it on, i accidently let the thottle body gasket drop a little bit and was blocking air ways.. oopss) finally fixed it, now the Speedo, Tach, and fuel gauge arnt working. the battery, oil press, and temp gauge seem to be alright, but the Tach is showing maxed out, when i turn the car on it drops to zero then shoots right back up to max, i think the tach did work at first when i was reving it to keep it on, not 100 percent though. the fuel gauge it stuck straight up and down, i checked the resistance on the sender before i put it back in the tank and it was working. and the Speedo, well just doesnt work.. i also noticed the blinker arrows inside dont work when blinkers are on... Any ideas what the problem is?
