Anyone familiar with these parts? Pics
I am trying to remove a viper alarm system that was installed and dont really know what these parts are.

This thing is mounted to the firewall next to the wiper moter and is wired into the main block of wires going into the car and also into the front light harness.

These are also coming off the front light harness and mounted to the car. Any help would be appreciated, Im having a hell of a time getting this thing out and getting the wires back to normal. This Alarm is wired into everything seems like. Thanks

The first picture shows your headlight motor control module.
The second picture is unclear. What are the wire colors when you pull the loom back to expose them? This looks like a small relay but it is hard to tell just from the plastic case.

That relay in the second pic is mounted just where the rh headlight door relay is in the pre-module cars, but shouldn't be in yours so iunno. Is there one in the matching position on the lhs?

Re: Anyone familiar with these parts? Pics
Thanks lou, glad I didnt yank that out lol I thought it had something to do with the alarm because it is hacked into the lights with tape? This car has been a wiring nightmare, All I want to do is get all of the wires I dont need out. Im putting in just a simple hot rod motor, no AC no cruise etc etc this car will not be a daily driver just a nice hot rod for looks and show. I want to pull the computer out but it is unclear to me if I will mess something else up. Any sugestions?

Maybe your car originally had the 3 relays for controlling the headlight doors, and somebody retrofitted the later model module for whatever reason.

Re: Anyone familiar with these parts? Pics
So your saying that the first pic is a module from a later year car? The module looks as if it was put in because its taped into the light harness and also the screws to hold the bracket are self tappers. Im going to get the color of wires and post a pic off the little relays and one of where the big module is taped in. Give me like 30 minutes.

Afaik the 3 relay system was used up to 87, when the module replaced it. Maybe you have an early 87 car which had the relays from the factory before the upgrade took place.

Okay so this is the first module wire job

Here is the second pics wire colors

Here is a pic of the second small relay that was mounted on the passenger side and it looks lik its all melted where the wires go in this relay deal however is not wired into the headlight harness it was wired into the harness that has the electric fan?

Here is a third little box in question and it was mounted on the front next to the radiator

And the color of wires for it

Re: Anyone familiar with these parts? Pics
The headlight module was introduced in 1987. If your car is an '87 but was made in '86, it could have had the separate relays originally and somebody hacked the module in later.
Trans Ams are plagued with headlight motor problems and people try to fix those any way they can.
EDIT: While I was typing this, you guys posted more, including the great photos. I will look at the colors and reply in a minute.

Re: Anyone familiar with these parts? Pics
The first pic looks like the factory style wiring job, believe it or not. Looks just like a hack job when removed from the loom tubing. The headlight door module is probably factory then.
Your second relay - still looks for all the world like an earlier headlight door relay, but the wire colours are different and if it's in the wiring with the fan circuit, I guess it's for that. Though your third pic looks more like a factory fan relay, but afaik they are mounted up on the firewall.
So as I'm being no help to you at all, I'll bow out now
