On my 84 T/A, my headlights will not flip up when I turn the lights on but will flip down when turning them off.. The bulbs light up when on but just won't flip up.. No noise or anything but flip down like nothing is wrong.. I searched the forums a lil bit and couldn't seem to find anything.. Any help would be appreciated..
Side note, I have NOT checked the fuses or relays YET.. Plan to in the AM.. How would I know if my relays are gone?? Thanks!

 

Get a helper, and feel the left and right door relays, and the isolation relay, to see if they click when the headlight switch is operated.

Bet the left and right relays are both not operating. If not, it's most likely the isolation relay or the power to it.

 

Sounds like the isolation relay. Passenger side on the rad support wall, behind the battery.

 

Yep sorry I worded my previous post ambiguously. I meant that the door relays won't be working, because the isolation relay that powers them has faulted.

 

What part would I look for if, say, at Autozone?

 

This may or may not help also. I don't know much about the older lights.
