Axle/Gears: poss
battery or altenator?

i cant use headlites ,heater and wipers at same time cuz lights get real dim and volt guage plummets. which one do i need to replace?

MOst likely you alternator. Turn on car get a voltage tester and test voltage at battery. If your getting above 13 volts it should be good.

set it on DCV 20 and check it at battery terminals.

could be a combination of both tho as ive had it happen. Replaced the alt then the batt wouldnt hold a charge a week later. How old are they?

If you're loosing power while the car is running, the problem is most likely the alternator. If the battery can still crank the starter and start the car it's probably not the issue. I'd bet it's your alt. Take it to autozone and have them test it along with the battery, that'll tell you the problem.
