Hi Beam Indicator Light
The hi beam indicator light on the dash only works sometimes. Bulb is good, seems like it's tight in the socket and the socket is tight on the printed circuit board. The dimmer switch works properly, have high and low beam. Presume it is in the dimmer switch itself, the switch rod or the multi function lever. I see there is an adjustment for the dimmer switch, but there is only a diagram in my '84 Firebird service manual, no description of how to adjust it. Anyone out there have more info on this?

Your dimmer switch needs no adjustment.
You have a bad connection from the dimmer switch to the indicator.
Using a voltmeter or test light (the type for testing for voltage, not a continuity tester) probe the light green wire emanating from the dimmer switch and trace it to the dash.
That way you will find bad connection.
