350 wiring help
350 wiring help
I have done a lot of searches but still need help.
92 Camaro, was a V-6 Automatic, put in a 383 stroker with a 6 speed from a 97 Camaro. Carb.
Do I need to get rid of the V-6 wiring harness, or can it be modified to work?
The oil pressure switch (gauges) is too big for the for the original oil pressure switch hole in the block (by distributor) I can not budge the larger plug by the oil filter.
I don't know what wires go to the temp gauge.
Guys, I am just lost on this wiring...everything else is done.

Re: 350 wiring help
Ultimately all you need from the existing harness is the hot wire (pink ) to the coil , the purple wire to the starter and the wires for the gauge sender units
You are going to have to do some custom wiring for the fuel pump , convertor lockup and rad fan since the computer will no longer be controlling those
Do a search for " carb swap wiring " , a sh*t load of info available

Re: 350 wiring help
Trans is a 6 speed manual, speedometer wiring is the problem there.
I just need the wire colors for oil pressure and temp gauges
fuel pump is mechanical and I have modified the fuel pick up in the tank
Fan wiring is already done, I used an aftermarket controller for that.
I will do the carb link search also
Thank You for helping.
