Just wondering if anybody knows where i can find or has a wiring diagram for an 83 firebird. I really need one in order to move forward with making mine work.

Here is 1982 - 1983 should be similar, if not the same.

 

Thank you this should help me alot! The problem with them is that when i flick the switch i can see both ***** on the motors make about a quarter turn or less and stop, if i get the headlights up manually they wont even try to go back down.

 

Test for power at the motor, but what you describe sounds like you may need to rebuild those motors.

 

Neither light would go up with direct power, the motro doesnt even try to spin

 

Does it feel like the motors won't go up because they are binding up inside, or that there is no power to the motor? The motors are rather complicated inside with a limit switch that is triggered in either direction when the headlights reach the end of their travel. Tension on the system causes the switch to trip. So if the motors are messed up inside that could trigger the limit switch if they are hard to move or binding in any way.
How do they move when you crank them manually? Are they smooth and move easily?

 

They move pretty easily the drivers side one likes to fall down a little bit after you crank it up, other then that its all smooth
