wiper motor problem

heres my problem, im getting power to the wiper motor and circuit board, but still doesnt not run. removed wiper motor, jumpered it off the battery, motor works. soo the motor isnt bad, i dont think the switch is bad because i have 12 volts goin to the both connectors. now, i did take the cover off, to clean the gears and such. but like a dumba$$ i accidentally spun the black round thing on the circuit board. i put it back to where i think it was. but not %100 sure. can someone give me advice on this other than buying a new wiper motor assembly. oh btw, its an 88 firebird.

I had a problem similar once, try this quick test to make sure the wipe case is grounded properly. use a long screwdriver to touch the case to the firewall to ground the case out. do that with it on like high position so you can see.
