So with a little over a month until the Camaro gets put on the road I'm trying to get everything I'm doing to it finished. One problem I had was when I took it down the street for my neighbor, who's a mechanic, the scanner was not reading or even recognizing the cars computer. I've tried researching this and can't find anything so any help on a fix or what could be wrong is appreciated.

 

Was he using the correct OBDI scanner to suit your car?
Most mech only have OBDII ('96+ cars ) scanners these days
