88 IROC stock Alarm?
I have one set of keys for my IROC and a single alarm remote that is on its last legs. I finally got around to looking at what I have and to my shock, it looks like it might be a factory product??? I went to my 88 manual and cant find ANY info on it and didn't find anything searching
Anyone know what this is: see attached images... I really just need a new remote and I could live with what I have but it would be nice to have a manual that told me where the wiring really goes!

It looks like a remote start/alarm combo unit. Its not a factory item. Our cars didnt come with factory alarms. That one is an add on unit made by gm. If you are wanting a replacement remote, see if there is a part # on the unit and do a search online for that #. You can even try searching gm remote starter systems online and might be able to find that unit.

Well I finally figured it out; in case anyone else has this same problem I thought I would post what I found about this box.
Apparently many many manufactures use code alarm equipment rebranded for there installation. The trick is to find the FCC ID off the box and any remotes you have; the FCC ID off the box was an older number and the remote I have is a newer product replacement so that made it easier to find a replacement remote. Here is a new "C-rcx-3" remote I found:
Here are the programming instructions for this box:
Instructions for programming your new Code Alarm Remote(s)
Note: Each System module has four “slots”, or memory locations, to store
transmitter codes, giving it the ability to operate from up to four transmitters.
For proper operation, a transmitter code must be stored into each memory slot.
When using less than four transmitters, follow the suggested programming
parameters:
· One Remote Transmitter – Program four (4) times
· Two Remote Transmitters – Program each transmitter two (2)
times.
· Three Remote Transmitters – Program two transmitters one (1)
time, and the remaining transmitter twice.
1. Open the driver’s door, leave the door open and make sure the dome light
is ON.
2. Turn vehicles ignition on (Ignition ON engine OFF).
3. Press and hold emergency override button (A small black headed push
button commonly found under the driver side dash) After about 10-13
seconds, the siren or horn will sound three (3) times. This indicates that
the unit has entered the transmitter-programming mode.
4. Continue to hold in the programming override button.
5. Press the ARM (or LOCK) button on the remote transmitter to be
programmed. The siren or horn will sound once, indicating that the
system has “learned” that remote transmitters code.
6. Repeat step 5 for any additional transmitters or transmitter codes.
7. Release the programming override button.
8. Turn the ignition off to exit the programming mode. Test remote
transmitters to ensure that they work properly by toggling back & forth
the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons.
