90-92 speedo failure after disassembly?
So I got a working Speedo to replace my shot one, threw the cluster in and drove the Speedo worked fine, I pulled the cluster apart to swap the odometer for my current one, put it back together and bow its not working. The only thing I can think of was the needle removal/ replacement... Has anyone had a similar issue and found a solution? Or know where I can buy just the Speedo guts? The odometer spins fine but after I swapped the odometer out it started acting like my junk one. The needle isnt hanging up on anything, when I turned the key on it jumped to below 0 and just stayed there.
Definitely frustrated on this one.

Slight edit: its reading 40 mph off consistently, if I'm going 50 its at 10, 55 is 15 and 60 is 20..... So any insight here???

So you got it working but it's just way out?
The only thing I can think of is that you remove the needle again and then replace it so it's positioned against the needle stop, my theory being that the speedo drive returns to the '0' position or thereabouts when you turn the ignition off.
Other than that you'll have to leave the needle slightly loose, find a quiet road and then get the needle in the right place compared to GPS reading! Probably not advisable.....
I dismantled my speedo to swap out my mileage scrolls due to a non working odo/trip. I held the needle against the stop as I prised it off, and then made sure I replaced it in the same position. I road tested mine and it was under reading by around 3-4mph. I guess I could have been lucky.
Sorry if that's not much help, seems to be hardly any info on the 90-92 gauges.
