Battery drain

I installed a new cooling fan switch (on at 200 off at 185) the thermostat is in conflict at 195, so the fan is always on. I can charge the battery overnight and after about 2 weeks of driving it will barely crank. Would this fan always being on cause enough of a draw to not charge the battery?

Re: Battery drain

do a paramedic draw test and check out your battery and charging system.

Re: Battery drain

Sorry mate - born Aussie - smarta$$ comes built-in

Jhook - Tuned means no, the fan should not be able to run the batt down even if it's on all the time the engine is running. There is a deficiency in the charging system, or some kind of draw on the power while the car is not running that slowly flattens it over a couple wks.
